My Approach to Healthy Weight Loss
I am a big fan of giving your body a break for 2-4 weeks, ideally a minimum of twice a year. The idea is to reduce the toxic load on the body, fuel it with the right food and nutrition, and avoid inflammatory and potentially allergenic foods. It is also important to eat mindfully. This improves our metabolism and boosts our energy, especially when combined with exercise and at least seven hours of sleep per night.
Eating Clean
For optimum health, we need to eat wholefoods, fibre from fruit and vegetables whilst avoiding processed foods, refined sugar, and potentially inflammatory foods. It is also best to cook food from scratch and take the time to appreciate it.
